Reusable coffee cup sleeves

With the craft fair coming up at work, I am working on making coffee cup sleeves as one of the items for my booth/table. Here’s the work in progress.
WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

I had trouble coming up with the pattern and design. Here are two of the examples, I landed going with design 2 (the one with the grey background). For the back I have been using a complementary corduroy.
This is how they look on a cup.

So far I have created several top designs, these are shown below.

Top: Dark purple as the main color and the yellow and green used for contrast

Bottom: Orange red as the main color with pink and teal for contrast

Fantastic….new fabric from Spoonflower

Last month Spoonflower had a fat quarter sale – buy one get one free (~50% off). I got a little carried away and ordered 42 fat quarters. What can I say – i love the designs available at Spoonflower.

On the weekend the fabric arrived. I am so excited and happy with my choices.

Here is an overview look at the delivery:

I did have a couple of projects in mind for some of the fabrics. For the Orange and Grey Quilt (that now has a splash of green), I was planning on using these:

For a purple quilt like this one, that I have in mind for a future project:

For my coffee cup sleeves that I am making for my work’s Craft fair, I was going to use these as a feature fabric:

And then there were just miscellaneous fantastic fabric that I loved, one being a Volkswagen print which my husband will love:

What did I do !!!???

The company I work for has a Craft fair every Christmas – so today I signed up to have a booth (table) at the fair. This is my first time doing something like this and I was excited about the opportunity.

Now, 3 hours later, I am at home thinking about the severe lack of stock I have for the fair and realizing I have a lot of work ahead of me. The good news it’s not until December 5th – that gives me 25 days!!

The second concern other than time, is what to put in the “Squeek Crafts” table?? I have so many ideas – so far I am thinking (with examples):

  • Patchwork Coffee Cup holders – some with matching coasters (new)
  • Quilted place mats
  • Chair Bags/Chair Pockets
  • Stuffed Monsters
  • Cork Boards

Choices, Choices…let’s see 25 days and counting
