Blogiversary {Giveaway}

Folks, who knew, that after having sinus surgery and deciding that I should start using the sewing machine I bought 6 months ago, I would be here. Welcome to my 4 year blogiversary. Wow!!

Sometimes, I am amazed that I kept with a hobby for 4 years and other times I can’t believe its only been 4 years, its gone by so fast.

This year has been an amazing journey. I want to thank all of you who have joined me and supported me on this journey, both here and on Instagram (IG). Looking at October 2015 through September 2016, these are some of my most memorable projects & WiPs. mosaicdd25f3e4fb290200b7e0c21c02c4d93b5baf4c6d

This year has been a big year. I have loved experimenting and playing with different techniques and color. I have loved teaching my new quilting classes. I hope the year ahead is as good to me…I know it is starting out well.

    I am a soon-to-be 72 y/o who loves the new modern quilt trend and wishes to jump into the improv pool but just can’t get more than her toes wet – I look for inspiration everywhere and have enjoyed following your adventures.

    I so appreciate your blog and other contributions to the quilting world. Congratulations and thank you for sharing your inspirations! I’m interested these days in incorporating my scraps, improvisation (as usual), and making conscious decisions about the quilting motifs I use.

    I’ve been making minis with lmprov pieced letters, that’s a big interest for me at the moment. One interesting topic that came up was the modern qg’s new definition of derivative and the question of whether they have become the new quilt police

    Congratulations on your anniversary! I’ll hit 4 years myself when March comes 🙂 Right now, I’m loving playing around with designing (though there’s less actual making going on) and planning all the things I’m going to make once I clear the decks.

    I have some improv ideas that I would like to try once I finish the quilt I’m working on. I haven’t strayed from patterns so this is all new to me.

    I love seeing your designs worked out in fabric. Also I love seeing improv. I hesitate to jump in such a project myself, so I love seeing how it works for you so that one day I might also be ready to take the leap :). Thank you for writing such a great blog and sharing your thoughts, processes. I really enjoy reading each and every post.
