    3. The #1 quilt on my wish list is the queensize bed quilt design in my head for my niece’s wedding gift. She’s getting married this month, but I won’t be able to make it in time for the wedding due to other commitments. It’s getting quite insistent about being made, though, and the design is almost fully evolved in my mind! Getting it done would not only gain her a lovely quilt, but it will stop the dratted thing nagging me! Thank you for your past introduction to Hawthorne threads; I too buy a fair amount from them and find their selection and service second to none.

    11. I have had a stack of gorgeous gorgeous hand dyed fabrics that my daughter dyed for me. I’ve wanted to make an abstract, modern HST with a dark blue background forever! One day I know it will happen…one day!

    14. Gidday Michelle! After a few projects that I’ve already planned, number 1 on my wish list will be something for myself in pretty florals and colours. A bed quilt so it will need to be large and practical! Thanks so much for sharing….

    21. #1 project on my wish list – starting an Aviatrix Medallion quilt! I have a start in my stash for the bright fabrics that I want to use, but I could always use more for more variety.

    23. I love making clothes for my daughter — a bit more modest, less trashy and better fitting than ready made. Poor thing needs a new summer wardrobe after growing almost 4 inches last year.

    33. I want to do an English paper pieced in 1930s fabrics…diamond shapes arranged in stars on a low volume background. Love the suggestion of a steampunk quilt above.

    41. I’ve had an “ocean” quilt in mind for a year or so for my great niece–not exactly a graduation present, but she will be graduating. (I’ve made quilts for other great nieces and nephews, but she was born before I started that, and I am getting caught up.) I’ve been gathering fabrics ever since I got the idea, and I have the basic outline. Just not sure whether to piece in squares, triangles, or improv. Clearing out other small projects so I can make a decision and get started.

    48. I’ve been following you on Instagram and I love your feed. Thank you for the chance to win a gift certificate from Hawthorne threads I also love that shop and purchase from them. I’ve been quilting for 20 years and have never worked with solids and improv. That is definitely what’s at the top of my list. I have gone through your posts and see that you teach improv one day I would love to take your class. Thank you, Lydia
