Ideas != Attention || Focus

Sitting here thinking of work and programming so I had the urge to use it in my title. So, for my programmer friends out there Ideas != Attention || Focus (Ideas not equal to Attention or Focus). It is crazy, I literally have a stream of ideas at the moment, which is a good thing. The drawback is I have not been able to give enough attention or focus to one project to finish it.

The two projects I would like to finish in the next two weeks are my Spoonflower sampler quilt (only 68 weeks old) and my Mum’s quilt (8 weeks old). I am still quilting the sampler quilt but I probably only have 1-2 hours left on this quilt.

My Mum’s quilt, I need to baste and start the quilting.

One of my new projects was based on a design I made in February. I think I am calling it “Beating heart” since it was my inspiration and it was Valentines Day.

Hopefully, I can finish at least two projects this weekend. Fingers crossed. Linking up with Lee over at Freshly Pieced for WiP Wednesday (button to the right).

    Hah! Loved the programmer title. And it is SO TRUE. Usually when the ideas start coming I get overwhelmed and get far less done. I’m learning that if I write them down, it helps clear out my brain a little bit which makes it easier to focus. But still hard. Good luck getting things done! I’m currently waffling between doing the big project that is hard or doing the small thing I’m not that into or saying screw it and just starting something new. šŸ™‚

    Goodness – I love each of these. Beating Heart may be my fave tho…and btw, I’m pretty sure Lee isn’t doing w.i.p. Wednesday any more. Some folks are still posting, but there’s no link up. It was fun while it lasted!

    I know what you mean, Michelle – I am feeling pulled in lots of different directions this week. I am hoping that writing out a list of my top priorities – like you did here – will help me focus. We’ll see.

    haha! I liked your post title!

    I agree, too — every morning, I think about a few more quilts I’d like to be making, and then in the afternoon I procrastinate quilting the one I’m actually working on. I’ve been quilting it for about five days now, and it’s only lap-sized! >_<
