I am in a fabric buying hiatus this month, while I save my pennies for my trip to New York to attend Lotta Jansdotter’s workshop. Woo-hoo!! Needless to say, I have bought lots of fabric, this year, that I have not shared as of yet. I think I am going to do this by store.
I mentioned last month, that one of my favorite stores is Westwood Acres, an Etsy store that is run by Amanda Woodruff (her blog is A Crazy Fox). The current bundles (they can never be just one bundle right???) I have my eye on are the “Inside voices IV – low volume bundle“, the navy blue bundle and lastly the “Stripes that bind bundle” – these are great collections. Oh well, hopefully they will be around next month (or hint, hint, wink, wink to my husband….my birthday is in 3 weeks).
Here are some of my recent purchases from Westwood Acres:
Now, one by one ;-), here we go:
Color Me Retro Fat Quarter Bundle by Jeni Baker for Art Gallery Fabrics
Architextures Fat Quarter Bundle of 21 by Carolyn Friedlander
A Close-up of the color prints:
You can still get 18 of the 21 in the fat quarter bundle here at Westwood Acres.
Full Moon Lagoon Fat Quarter Bundle by Mo Bedell for Andover
I was so delighted when I saw these prints. For those that don’t know, my BSc and MSc are in Marine Science, so I love the featured echinoderms (sea urchins) and the sea horses in this line. I thought it was a little strange to mix these salt water creature with the flower prints – but the colors in this bundle are amazing, my favorites being the orange and lime greens.
Field Study by Anna Maria Horner Linens
I ordered separate 1/2 yards for each of the feather and butterfly prints, as they were my favorite pieces of the line. I am thinking of using this line in making some bags/pouches.
Finally the other two big bundle purchases were:
- Glimma by Lotta Jansdotter, which I showed in my last fabric stash post and,
- Constellations by Lizzie House, which I used in the wonky universe pillow I finished a couple of weeks ago.
I am linking up this week with Sunday Stash which is being hosted by Sew Happily Ever After.
Wow! You do have quite a collection. 🙂 Lovely stuff indeed. Cant wait to see what you make with it.
I picked up a bit of a really graphic pac man fabric on the interwebs today. I absolutely can’t wait for it get here – even though I have no idea what I’m going to do with it! 🙂
I definitely don’t know what I am going to do with all this either…..some of the fabric I have ideas in mind but unfortunately not this lot. 🙂
Here I am trying to talk myself out of buying more fabric, and then I read your post. Your gorgeous new fabrics are making it even harder to resist the bundles I have in the cart. Omg. Help! HAHA. What workshop are you attending? I’m super jealous.
I just saw that one of the bundles I have been waiting for was listed….so tempting…collage: https://www.etsy.com/listing/151646680/collage-by-carrie-blomston-for-windham
The workshop is Lotta Jansdotter Surface printing workshop:

I know that I have already expressed my jealously of your ability to attend the workshop but let me just restate it!
I love your stash photos! Beautiful colours. I have been trying to be good myself but did just order a couple of pieces online over the weekend and may have been lurking on Spoonflower…….
:-)…I’ll take photo’s and at a minimum share the experience.
that’s a whole lot of fabric!! i’m just loving it . you must share when you make it up into something though!!
I love the full moon lagoon fabrics too. So pretty! Are you running out of storage space yet? Your collection is impressive, especially in person!
Starting too – having to move my art supplies to the storage cupboard I think….I think that will be the memorial day task 🙂
This is what I love about Sunday Stash – I see fabric lines that I have not chanced upon before. You have found some very special fabrics at Westwood Acres. And I think it is wonderful that you are attending a Lotta workshop in NY. I would love one day to fly from Australia to do a workshop with Heather Ross – total decadence!
I must say being in the US has advantages 🙂
