I hope you all had a good weekend. Even though we had 4 boys (all 6 years old) camp over last night, I managed to finish the Road 15 postage stamp pillow. I am so pleased with the finish – most of the squares are ย lined up, and I love the straight lined quilting.
Details
Front: Road 15 mini charms (2.5 x 2.5″) by Sweetwater for Moda + Bella Solids Cotton mini charm; Batting, and lined with Muslin
Back: Teal Kona Cotton Back with an invisible zipper enclosure
I am trying these out in my store for the first time, the postage stamp cushions/pillow cover is now available in my Etsy store.
Beautiful….just love it …….happy, bright and cheerful.
Thank you ๐
Looks lovely! I’m kind of jealous of how good the back turned out – I’ve never tried the invisible zipper, but that looks about a hundred times better than every other closure type I’ve tried. (I went through a pillow making phase a few years ago, but had to stop because everyone I know has at least one :D)
I am going through that phase now and have run out of room in the house :-)….the invisible zippers are easy – I use a invisible zipper foot and they give a nice finish.
There’s a special foot for invisible zippers? Interesting. My machine is so low tech I don’t know if one would even exist for it ๐
I just googled it to find it – either look for invisible or concealed zipper foot….makes it super easy.
I love this pillow – love the combination of the solids with the prints ๐
Thank you ๐
Nice! Good luck with etsy. Someone should snatch it right up!
here’s hoping…my new deal with Daniel is I can spend the money I make fro etsy on fabric…otherwise I am going dry ๐ฆ
dry!! oh no! it’s ok. you can do it. they will buy it! ๐
The backing color gives me *hearteyes* !
What a sew-weet cushion! I love it! Good luck in your sales!
I love this! It’s sooooo modern and cheerful and happy ๐
