I am definitely suffering from Quilting attention deficit disorder this week, which is being exaggerated by severe procrastination. I am supposed to be working on my This way, That way quilt. Instead, I have cleaned my sewing room, and worked on everything but the quilt I am supposed to be focussing on.
The only good thing is I got this weeks Tula Pink City Sampler blocks complete, which I have never done in time. In fact I have blocks 1-9 and now 64-66 :-). I am still loving the fabric choice – Spring House. Here are the new blocks:
Here are the close-ups of the blocks.
Here is a link of the previous 9 blocks I have made.
I will say the week has not all been frustrating. Β I got home Friday night, and I had a package. My first reaction was what did I buy, have I forgotten something?? No, Laura, a wonderful friend I met in blog world, sent me an amazing woolly hat. It was perfect, as it is getting cold here in North Carolina and we had our first frost this week. I was so elated and so taken aback. So here is a shout out to Laura over @ Little and Lots, go over and take a look at her other hats – she has been knitting up a storm.
Hope you all are having a great weekend. I am counting down….Only 2 weeks until the Triangle MQG sewing retreat, 4 1/2 weeks to Thanksgiving, and 8 1/2 weeks to Christmas!!!
Loving your Tulas.
Thank you
Love your Tula blocks and that is such a wonderful hat!! How great of Laura!!
I know, I felt so lucky!!
Still loving these blocks! Those colours just pop SO much.
I know “juicy” has gotten to be a word with bad Jersey-Shore-esque connotations, but really. The colors you chose for these blocks are just so tropical-umbrella-drink! Won’t this be a fun quilt to assemble in the dead of winter!
I’m so glad the hat can keep you warm this late fall/winter. π
Sorry for replying so late. I have been traveling for work and everything seems to be late π I love this fabric which is so funny as I am not really a flower print kind of girl but the color just makes me smile.
Those colours are divine!
What a great friend to send you a hat! I do love bloggy friends! (Yourself included of course!)
Thank you!! I am looking forward to getting to use my hat….I am definitely a cool weather girl π
I love that fabric line. So striking.
Blocks are beautiful, and your new hat is awesome! Excited for sewing retreat, but a little nervous with how quick Christmas is approaching.
Great blocks….I’m well behind on mine!! This month has been a bad one for quilting π¦
My theory is, just when I am in the mood and have time, sooner or later, I will have enough blocks to make a lap quilt π I really don’t want to put any time pressures on this one – its just going to be a surprise when one day its finished π
