Almost the end of the year!! Why is it always so chaotic??
I had planned my week of posts and unfortunately have not been able to stay to plan. Mostly, this is due to the fact, I am getting home after dark (~6pm), and I just can’t take great photos. Winter and its short days are not my friend :-(.
So excuse the photo quality, but I really wanted to post about my current WiPs I have going this week.
- Zakka Circle Pot holders – these are for a friend for Christmas. Tops are sewn, just need to quilt + shape + bind the pot holders.
- Made some progress on the X & + quilt, with another two blocks done only 3 1/2 rows to go to make my December goal.
- Christmas Stocking – pulled out pattern and fabrics, I have an idea about the design. I am thinking a 23/24 Dec finish.
- I am hoping to finish off these place mats I started a month or so back.
- Lastly, Framed Quilt Blocks – these two need to be completed by Friday as they are gifts for people at work.
I am slowly starting to panic as I really need items 1, 3, 4, 5 finished in the next 6 days. I just need more time in the day :-).
I hope your Christmas prep is going well. I am linking up with Lee over at Freshly Pieced for WiP Wednesday.
Your x and plus blocks look great! Good luck with your Christmas crafting – I may start mine tonight. I’ve been seeing your ipad stand all over the internet lately – congratulations on a successful design.
Thank you on the lovely comments. I hope you Christmas crafting goes well and you don’t have too much to do 🙂
It’s always so tough to get things done when you’re also working and it’s so dark so early and you’ve got a family so you can’t just say, “Oh, I’ll eat toast for dinner because that’ll be done in 2 minutes or less and then I can sew!” Anyway, all the best getting it all done in time 😀
so funny tonight we did scrambled eggs on toast 😀
Haha.. that’s awesome! Toast is my go-to lazy dinner (if I have bread, anyway, which isn’t often really, and if I’m feeling like putting in a bit more effort, it’ll be canned beans on toast).
Love the placemats! Four items in six days – plenty of time! No need to panic. Everything looks great! Stopping by from WIP Wednesday.
Ugh, the countdown is getting to me too, good luck. Every year it’s crunch time, why is that?
I really, really thought I was on track this year (it would be a first!) — but somehow things went to #*@! and here I am again, scrambling to finish, wrap and mail. I wonder if it would really be “Christmas” without the crunch? Good luck with it all, and know that you have plenty of company!
I LOVE your xplus blocks! I see them everywhere since you introduced me to them via your blog. And I agree; I wish they sold extra hours in the day, but no online fabric store seems to have them…
Luck!
