Bits and bobs

I have a lot of things started and some of them progressing, some of them are just sitting pretty on my to do pile. I will say with my goals from this month, I am procrastinating but in a good way. I have been working on other WiPs on the list due later in the year…oops.

Tapa Star Block Patterns – I have made up at least 1/2 of the second block and expect to have it finished this week. Fabrics are Carolyn Friedlander Architextures and Robert Kaufman Kona’s (Wasabi, Chartreuse, Bonsai, and Clover). Due date for pattern: February

Hexagon Quilt: I managed to spend some time on this lap quilt, this week while travelling to Ikea and stuck in bed. I have slowly made progress – each row now has about 60 hexagons and all hexagons are unique fabric prints (except for the grey). Due Date: December

Kowhai paper piecing block: I am testing a block for Juliet @ Tartan Kiwi. Fabric chosen and sewing has begun. This should also be finished this week. Extra activity

So, the stuff I am supposed to be working on, looks like this:

Riley Blake Challenge:  No progress
Stash Bee Block: Fabrics Chosen, tutorial printed and read.
Scrap-bee-licious Blocks: Not started
Book Review Tuesday: Book decided and fabrics selected for the project. Guest host for February lined up.

That’s the bits and bobs of this week. Linking up with Lee @ Freshly Pieced for WiP Wednesday.

Hey girl, that’s YOUR list, don’t let it boss you around! If something’s screaming your name, just make it! If you haven’t started something, it’s for a reason… The new thing’s more FUN.

I know but is it not frustrating when you know you have to finish a couple of things and those are the ones you least want to work on 🙂 It’s not a big deal for now until I am out of bed which I am hoping towards the end of the week.

How do you do it, Michelle?!? I’m impressed that you get so much done.
And wow – those hexagons look fantastic! How big will the quilt be?

Aw, Thank you. I think the same thing about you.The hexagon quilt will be a lap quilt so still a fair bit to go. The hexies are 1 inch so this is my travel/in front of the tv quilt which I just plug away at 🙂

Now I just have to get that Riley Blake quilt done …there’s always something right 🙂

Thank you!! They are taking a little longer than expected to finish but then it is not surprising….I still am not really at the sewing machine. Maybe this weekend!!
