We have two activities at the moment going on in the Triangle MQG:
- For September’s meeting, this coming weekend, there is a pouch swap….I am still deciding what to do.
- For October, there is a brown paper bag challenge, in which we were able to select one Fat quarter print and one fat eighth solid from a bag. This is what I chose….
…not to bad if you ask me. The challenge states that you can add any solids in the same color family as the solid you have chosen + 1 neutral.
So, I decided I need a quick project but something I would like, as I get to keep this one. I have been wanting to do another pillow pop project for a while, being inspired by the craft book blog hop, that is what I chose.
“The Metro”…. I am using 4 blue solids (including the brown bag fat eighth), Kona white for the sashing and the wonderful Echino bicycle print.
The front is finished, on to the quilting and the backing.

I really like this quilt top! It’s so fresh and modern, and I love that bicycle print.

So nice! That bicycle print is fabulous!
really nice – I love Echino fabric π
Love this! The colours, the fabric and the design – ticks all round!
Thanks I really like it – so happy I get to keep this one. π
This is seriously adorable!!!I love that bicycle print and you did a great job with using this design! I can’t wait to see it finished!
Thank you π I do like it !!
Those splashes of red from that Echino print are a lot of fun, aren’t they? The pillow front looks great!
The fabric as a whole is so great, can’t believe how lucky I was for choosing the bicycle print out of the brown bag!!! I like it the balance and print π I have a nice little collection that I am thinking of using in a similar way as a quilt or a pillow!!
I’m still deciding what to do for the pouch swap, too! Hoping to make big progress today…
