For the 30 mins for 30 days sewing challenge, I said I would concentrate on my X & + Blocks and try and finish the top. First steps though….cutting, which as you know I hate!! I am going to try and concentrate on 20 blocks at a time so it does not overwhelm me.
Last night, those who saw my instagram pic (ml_wilkie) saw I was cutting…after 1 1/2 hours this was the result; 4 green blocks, 3 blue blocks all ready to be sewn up:
The other project, I am hoping to finish this month (possibly this weekend) is my initial trial of my paper piecing pattern for the Tapa Star striped block (if you are on instagram you would have seen this):

Love the Tapa Star! Sometimes cutting is fun and other times it feels like a chore. I guess it depends on my mood. Love the colorful stacks you’ve got cut up.

Ooh I see some of that navy/aqua/white Technicolor in those blue block cuts – that bled badly on me last month so I hope you prewashed but otherwise, just a heads up. Absolutely love the variety of big bold geometrics you’re using!
