It has been a challenging week for more than one reason or another. The biggest news, was when the hubby rang to say he broke his collar-bone playing soccer at work. What you might find shocking, is that this was the second broken bone (two different ones), that he has broken in the last 12 months, in the same arm, playing soccer at work…..I know, right!!! 😀
I still managed to get most of my time in this week for the challenge, starting with some paper piecing, trying out my new pattern. I hope to finish these Week 2 of March.
The rest of the week, I spend most of the time cutting the first half of my X & + blocks.
And on Saturday, I was in going through the motions…. “sewing, sewing and keep on sewing”.
So this upcoming week, I plan on finishing the tapa star cushions and completing 1/2 of the X & + blocks (which is 24 blocks). Linking up with Sarah @ Berry Barn Designs for the 30/30 Sewing Challenge check-in.
oh lord. broken bones are no fun – whew. but your creations are looking beautiful!!!
your paper pieced projects are lovely, I may have to add that to bucket list…..
Oh no, Michelle! No fun. I know a few people who’ve broken that bone and they all say it’s so hard to every get comfortable while it heals – I hope your husband has a speedy recovery (while you do all the heavy lifting for the next few months… ; ) Great work staying on task for the week, though – you got a lot done!
When you posted the xray on IG, I had to show my husband, like “whoa look how bones are so crazy!!”. Love your X + blocks!! it’s on my bucket list, and I have a pile of fabric put aside for it, but I’ haven’t gotten around to it yet…
Oh no. Looks like a bad break too. If yours is anything like mine he’s going to be mighty annoying while this heals. My hubby broke his collar bone last year and could barely move he was in pain. Unfortunately this just made him more irritable. I should give him a break (get it!) because it was very painful. Lots and lots of rest and hopefully it heals up. And no more soccer!
E xx
I think soccer time is over:) Yikes! Hope he has a speedy recovery. Loving these blocks!
Ouch! Hope your hubby is recovering quickly! Sounds like you’ve been busy. Nice work on your blocks!
Every time I see that Tapa quilt block it just makes me want to volunteer to test it, but I know I’m too lazy and paper-piecing makes me crazy 😀
Your X & + blocks are looking awesome.
