I have mentioned previously that I am trying to be more selective on the fabrics I choose. So, there are certain fabrics and colors that I use more than others like low volumes, text prints, blues, greens, oranges and yellows. I am always on the look out for prints that fit the bill….
These first ones are all from the fabric line Treasure Map by Lesley Grainger for Riley Blake. I loved the wave prints, grey is what I feature above. I think these prints are just good solid basics for any stash.
I love these text prints, image these as pillow/cushion backs!! The fabric line is Detour by Bo Bunny for Riley Blake.
I have mixed feelings about the low volumes purchased here…well really its just the one print….I am not thrilled with the green sewing text print but I have been using it in some bee blocks and it looks ok. I can’t remember where I purchased these but I think it was on sale somewhere (doh…is that a bad sign).
That’s it for this weekend. Linking up with Molli Sparkles for Sunday Stash (see button on the right).
Love those wavy lines! And the leaves and cursive, however I wouldn’t consider the leaves low volume.
Thanks. For the leaf print…I suppose it is what you are comparing it to. It is predominantly white and compared to say these two prints (http://www.hawthornethreads.com/fabric/designer/tula_pink/the_birds_and_the_bees/tree_of_life_in_cinnamon, or http://www.hawthornethreads.com/fabric/designer/anna_maria_horner/field_study/minds_eye_in_toast) which is what I would compare use it with.
Love the bright colours of the Treasure Map prints!
as always, your fabric selections are on point. i have that bottom text print and i love it!
What Ashley said. Those treasure map lines, and that wave black one… I can see so much good use out of those! It makes me want to go home and sew immediately!
Those wavy lines are a great addition to stash! I love all the colors too.
