I am so easily swayed with the possibility of nice things….over on Instagram Knotted Thread (knotted_thread) posted these amazing Infinity Scarfs made from the Cotton and Steel Double Gauze. It was definitely prints I had not purchased over the Christmas specials. Ok, ok I caved and I bought some.
The fabric is so soft and the colors so nice and bright. As it is getting cold here, I am sure myself and friends will appreciate a new scarf.
While looking through the new releases at Hawthorne Threads, I picked up these Etno prints as well:
- Contempo Pyramids in Ebony, Etno, Pat Bravo
- Sauvage Sky in Artic, Etno, Pat Bravo
- Shore remains in Trinkets, Etno, Pat Bravo
In my attempt of being good, I kept it to just these three.
Lastly, I have a quilt design I have wanted to do for a while, and I purchased the Neutral Bundle of Umbrella Prints last year that I think will be perfect. The Bundle came with a free FQ which was the Burgundy Ume print. So, I finally unpacked it, so I can start picking out some solids to go with it.
Linking up with Molli Sparkles Sunday Stash (see button in right menu).
I popped in here from the Link Party at Molli Sparkles. You have a lot to see here! I love your hippo among many, many other things! I saw a similar type project done lately with a Bassett hound, and the effect is so fun. I’ll have to follow to keep up here.

Oh so lovely. I am trying to be good but this is tempting!
Those Etno prints are fantastic 😀 I wish the Canadian dollar weren’t sucking so hard because I’d totally be tempted to pick up some of those for myself too!
Oh that double gauze is beautiful. It is too hot here for scarves, but I am sure I could think of something else to make with it!
Scarves sound like fun! I recently picked up some AMH voile and am eager to make a few myself. I want to come see your c+s gauze – I know the gauze is similar to voile but I want to feel it and see for myself. Those are all pretty picks!
Oh these are going to be lovely scarves! I made some voile scarves as gifts last year and kept one for myself. Unfortunately I’m not a scarf wearer much, so it doesn’t get a lot of use…
