This week, I have been focused on my next Sew Mama Sew project.

The cutting (my least favorite activity)…

Then a lot of chain piecing took place…

The final trimming of all those triangle blocks…I love the Bloc-Loc Ruler, which was one of my new toys, I purchased from Pile of Fabric over Thanks giving.

Finally, there were some great entries for the finished quilt top/ quilt for the Gypsy Wife QAL. The winner for the Gypsy Wife Final Link up is Kim Lapacek @ Persimon Dreams. Congratulations Kim.

I have been doing pretty well with my tracking for my January projects. I basted 3 of my projects that I had listed in my to do list/goals for the year.

In addition to the listed projects, I have also been distracted by a couple of other projects:

1. “Forever” this is my hexie quilt which I started way back in May 2013.
2. Belated Christmas gifts (Electronics cable caddy, and a necklace travel case)
   

So, a busy week (well weekend ahead). Linking up with Lee over @ Freshly Pieced for WiP Wednesday (see button on the right).

This week, I am working on a couple of things….my next Sew Mama Sew project and working on planning out what’s coming next for my blog etc.

Fabric has been pulled, measurements taken and written down and additional equipment has been ordered for Sew Mama Sew Project 4. I am actually optimistic in having this finished for the weekend (yay!! ahead of schedule).

For the blog, I have been talking to some of my quilty/blog friends about doing a series of posts on quilty basics and/or skills we have learned that scared us. How did we grow those skills? What have we learned? What would we not do again? It was proposed by the lovely Laura (@littleandlots) that it was just like America’s Test Kitchen but for quilting. So, with some luck, Monday will see the announcement and launch a blog series “Back to School”.
