Well it’s no longer Sunday…where did Sunday and Monday go??? Anyway, I have some great fabric arrive the last two weeks.
Firstly, is my new Kaffe Fassett fabric, a mix of stripes and solids weaves which I have never owned before. I already have a project for these. I want to do something similar to Adrianne’s Cross quilt using the cross pattern in the book Simply Retro (page 17, which you can see on amazon). Purchased from Hawthorne Threads.
And finally my Heather Ross pre-order arrived….and I love it. Briar Rose reminds me of this wonderful little dress I had when I was 5 which was blue with red or pink strawberries hence = LOVE. And yes I bought extra yardage, of the pink, green strawberries and the white + red strawberries.
Besides the stash photos this week, our last stop in Charleston, SC was Morris Island Lighthouse and Folly Beach. I loved the drift wood at Morris Island Lighthouse beach and it was so cool to see a lighthouse surrounded by water…even though it was a little far away to get a good photo.
We went round the corner to Folly beach which was at high tide…now, I could see myself in that cool mint colored beach house. Look at that roof deck.

i’m planning on buying those stripes, too!! love them. i want to do a really simple cross quilt that I just found in one of his books. love those fabrics!
