I have started, on the second quilt, I am making for my friends children (the 1st one being the Pushme, Pullme Quilt). As mentioned, in my last post I have fallen in love with the X & + Block. These will be blocks in the new quilt – colors being blues, greens, reds, oranges and yellows.
My goal for ” A lovely year of Finishes” in December is to have 4 rows of the individual blocks sewn up (the quilt will have a 6 x 8 block format).
Linking up with Lee over @ Freshly Pieced for WiP Wednesday.
Lastly, the winner of “Brave New Quilts” and the Paint by Numbers, Lush Uptown FQ is:
Which is Cheryl of Meadow Mist Designs. Cheryl I will send you an email today to get your details.
What pretty bright fabrics in you x and + blocks!
Thank you. I hope to keep them fun and bright. The person asking for it asked for bright 🙂
it’s looking so colorful and fun! a great kid’s quilt. I think it will compliment the push me, pull me design without being identical.
Thanks. I was hoping that it would compliment it 🙂
Cute!! The colors are lovely!
Thank you. I am still playing around with them and thinking I will add some yellow in too 🙂
I am loving this pattern at the moment and how each interpretation is so different. Love your fabric choices.
Me too. And the block goes together quickly.
Pretty blocks!
I’ve been wanting to do a quilt of this block ever since my Bee on Threadbias made it one month. Such a simple, great looking block!
It has so much diversity. I saw a great version of this the other day on interest with aqua’s/teals as the background – it was fantastic.
Oooh I’ll have to have a look for that! At the moment I have the Les Amis brown and orange colourway with brown/orange/cream blenders put aside to eventually make this.
Here is my pin of the one I really liked!!!
Wow, I love that!
Thank you 🙂
The x-pluses seem like such a pain in the rear but I KNOW for a fact they are addicting! So funny that you found them so too. This quilt will be such a cheerful fun riot of color. I love where it is headed so far!
Thanks, they sure do but I was surprised how easy they actually were. Hope things are going well for you 🙂 I am sure you are super busy with Christmas and all.
