I can definitely blog about my new additions to my stash today but alas, my 30/30 Sewing Challenge was a bust this week. That was mostly due to the hubby’s arm:
- Wednesday – having to get up at 4am to the hospital, kind of limited extra curricular activity
- Thursday – 7 hours at the hospital for the surgery, I did however get some hand sewing done on my Hexagon quilt for a couple of hours.
- Friday / Saturday – the care giver of two, took over 🙂
Good news though, the hubby’s collarbone is all fixed now and he is moving about. He landed up with a plate holding his collarbone together.
So onto the fabric additions, which is far more interesting ;-)..First up, is a selection of the Rocket Age line….perfect for Chair bags/Chair pockets and pillow cases, I am thinking.
Also, purchased some miscellaneous fabrics…
- Crosshatch Sketch in Grey
- Diamond in the Sand, True Colors, Jenean Morrison
- Maison in Navy, Mod Prints
- Scenic in Ice, Eskimo Kiss (will use for teacher’s gifts for year-end – penguins is my son’s schools mascot)
Linking up with Molli Sparkles for Sunday Stash and Sarah @ Berry Barn Designs for 30/30 Sewing Challenge (need to own my not so good week).
I was thinking of you all this week – glad to hear your husband’s surgery went well! Hope he has a quick recovery : ) Beautiful fabrics – I think I need some of that Maison print!
So glad the surgery went well! One if these days I will learn how to do hexagons. Yours are so cute. This summer I will see this stash in person!!!
I hope the husband has a rapid and pain free recovery. Your waiting time was very well spent, I see! Nice hexagons, and a clever idea for using them.
The hexies are coming along! Won’t be too much longer. 🙂 Glad Daniel is doing well!
OMG! So sorry to hear about your husbands arm but love the hexies you worked on. The crosshatch in grey I really need to get, it is lovely.
Love Rocket age!! I bought a layercake which is in my package that will hopefully arrive today!! The spacey ‘blueprint’ map looking print I think I’ll end up getting yardage of but I wanted to check out colours first (is the darkest one navy or black? – it looks black in your photo and on Fat Quarter Shop but more a dark blue at Hwthorne Threads).
Xrays are so fascinating to see how bones are put back together. Glad to hear your husband is on the mend!
dark blue…navy
I just got my package! It’s a bit of a hard one to tell, it looks black but then the blue lines on it make it look blue hmm. I think if I get yardage I can make it pass as ‘black’ for my stash 😉
I mentioned this on IG but love seeing the hexie project again – it just looks great. That navy maison fabric is pretty great too.
Sorry to hear that your hubby landed in the hospital, but glad the outcome was good! Your Hexie project is looking quite nice. Lovely additions to the stash as well.
Sending good and healing thoughts to your husband. And sewing thoughts to you!
Ouch…but the hexies are lovely……..
Glad your husband is doing well! Love your hexagon quilt! Nice job!
I’m glad your hubby is well….and I think that adding to the stash is very important!
