This past weekend was very productive for me. I managed to quilt and bind the wonky herringbone place mats. The quilting is mostly straight-line quilting at 1/2 inch. I decided to match the binding with the backing fabric. I started hand binding but did switch to machine binding and just top stitched the binding. I love how they finished. These have been delivered to a friend for a belated birthday gift – she loved them too!! Fabric Choices: Essex Dyed Yarn Linen; Peppered Cottons; Panier De Fleurs Dove, French General. Floral Check Anais Grey by Moda. (also see this post for colors and links for the fabrics)
Final Size: 14 x 18″
Design: Paper piecing Pattern
I am just starting to feel like I have my head above water, which is great. Linking up with Amanda Jean @ Crazy Mom Quilts for Finish it up Friday.
