I have another finish to celebrate today….it is the “Mod Squares”. The design and tutorial can be found over at Sew Mama Sew. It is my new Fall/Autumn lap sized quilt, that I will be using for my sofa using low-volumes, neutrals and Indelible prints. My favorite part….I have a couple of stripes of some FMQ!!
The rest of my projects, are coming along nicely too. This list and deadlines have been keeping me on top of things for once, SUCCESS!!

I am on a last-minute vacation in the mountains this week. I am, however, trying to focus on the Cherie quilt top, now that two of the other quilts are complete. I managed to cut out all 182 pieces…I think that is the first time I cut out all the pieces (more or less) before starting the actual quilt. I usually cut, sew and then repeat.
So, now onto piecing all of these…my favorite part. Linking up with Lee over @ Freshly Pieced for WiP Wednesday (see button on the right).
Congratulations on another finish! I like your use of low volume fabrics with the nice vibrant touches of color. And yay for FMQing!
I usually cut and sew as I go along as well. I find it easier, since a few times I’ve given up on a project and that seems like a lot of wasted fabric if I’ve already cut it into predetermined shapes!
another really lovely finish – and well done on the FMQ 🙂
That new SMS quilt looks awesome – I didn’t realize how much was going on in the low volume areas until I read the post at SMS and saw the other pictures. Indelible is such a great line, isn’t it? The colours are just gorgeous.
Loving the quilt. I love how the pattern moves/evolves as your eye goes around the quilt. Love.
