I really enjoyed these darker palettes this week. All the palettes are from photos that involved the night and lights.

Cirrus Solids Block of the Month Challenge

Have you see the Challenge that Cloud 9 is running for a whole 12 months?? You design a 12″ block (finished) and submit it, and you may be in for a chance to win a full FQ Bundle of their new Cirrus Solids (21 colors). Your entries are cumulative…so if you don’t win this month your design is still in for a chance for the rest of the year. More details on how to submit and rules can be found here.

Why I am telling you all of this? I am “Miss February”. My design “Mind the Gap” won the Block of the Month for February.

You can now go over to Cloud 9 and get the directions (pdf) to make my block. They also have mock-ups of how the block works in 4 different layouts in a quilt. Here is an additional layout example, which I used in my submission:

QDAD: Quilt Design a Day (mid-Jan)

January has been a little spotty, with regards to participating in Quilt Design a Day. It was super hard to go back to work after the Christmas break, and still keep a balance with everything else. Things are now back to normal and back on track with participating.
