Phased Circles Quilt: Top Complete

Last month, I made my favorite quilt ever…..until this month. I have finished my Phased Circles quilt. I love this quilt so much, as my vision with my design came together so well, better than I could have dreamed.

Phased Circles Outside
I used 30 different Carolyn Friedlander prints, mixed from her Botanics and Architexture lines…can you believe it, that did not use all  the prints of hers I own (yes, I might have a slight fabric crush).

The solids were all Kona cottons and most of them were from the new colors – Curry, Prussian, Breakers, Torch, Valentine and lastly Wasabi.

The colors from these fabrics worked so well together. Here is a close-up of the center blocks. If you are interested in how I made these blocks, here is the tutorial.

Phased Circles Closeup For the back, I am using some of the gray, black and white prints of Carolyn’s lines, with just some simple piecing. I plan on doing straight line quilting to finish.

….my local Joann’s to pick up grey invisible zippers for my pillows.

I got home and finished off the first of the Tapa Star pillows…so definitely a productive night.

The back of the pillow, I continued to use Carolyn Friedlander’s Botanics hand-drawn stripes in green, with a grey invisible zipper.
