This weekend, I had some projects I needed to catch up on, one being a birthday gift for a friend. It took me a while to decide what I would make, I had one hundred and one ideas. I finally decided on making my first coin purse. After a false start (which we won’t talk of), I finally finished my little gift mid-day on Sunday and dropped it off an hour later (with instructions it still needed to dry for 8 hours). A little close I know 😉

Very cute! Good job on the design and I love the fabrics.
Thank you – I really love the Carnaby Street Fabric
Great purse! It looks like it’s finished really professionally, and the patterns are just lovely xx

Thank you – I was super surprised how easy it was once I got the right size worked out at the top 🙂
You did a great job on the purse and the fabrics are just beautiful! I need to get some for myself!
Very cute purse and a lovely gift!
Thanks for linking up 🙂
Thank you for hosting and posting about your pillows 🙂
Love that lining fabric! Very cute. Framed pouches scare me but, look, you did it beautifully!
It looks great! I have been thinking about making a coin purse for a while but am a little intimidated by the gluing to the frame. I might have to build up my crafty courage and give it a go!
That part was really easy, gluing…I used a butter knife to push the fabric in the frame to get it all in the corners and edges. The size of the top of the purse was the harder part…making sure you make it wide enough to be pushed into that frame…you want it wider than the frame – I did about 1/2 -1 inch wider on edge side. The project was all finished in an hour – so its a nice quick project. I will make more.
It is a gorgeous purse!
Thank you, I loved how it turned out.

Cute purse, you did a great job! I bet your friend was very pleased with her gift!
She was – I was a little worried about the glue smell at first but she did say as it dried it dissipated.
It’s so cute! I love the fabrics. I keep meaning to try making a coin purse, myself.
