I am having one of those weeks, where I have so many ideas going through my head and just not enough time to get it all done. How do you all keep your projects and ideas straight?
I am working on writing my first paper piecing pattern, which I plan on sharing next week as part of the Let’s get acquainted new blogger, blog hop hosted by Plum and June (check out the button on the right).
Also in the works, I have a couple of quilts. One, which you have been watching it slowly grow, is my 1 1/2 inch hand sewed hexagons. I am hoping to get this finished in time to be part of A Season by Hand @ Clover and Violet, July 26th. It is now about 22″ wide and so far I have not duplicated any fabric, not sure if I can do the whole quilt with the unique fabric approach – we will see π
Lastly, this week, here is my design board…I have started a new quilt. These 4 blocks are the first row. The design came from these two quilts that appeared on pinterest….Reverse Hopscotch @ V and Co.Β and Elephants on Parade @ Sew Crafty Jess. The Charm Packs I am using for this quilt are Simply Style, from V & Co. for Moda, White Kona and I am thinking of adding Simply Color from V & Co. for Moda as well. I love the hexagon fabric in the Simply Style bundle.

Thanks for stopping by. Linking up today with Lee @ Freshly Pieced.
Love the star pattern with this! Beautiful work on your hexies too….I am working with some right now and they take forever…but are so worth it.
I am loving how both are turning out. I agree with the hexies the time going in is worth it.
love those hexagons!
Thank you π
I have a ‘stash’ of hexies I am working on when I have to be upstairs and away from my sewing machine in the basement. Keeping track of projects….well, I do have a ‘list’ and I try to stay focused on only 2-3 things at one time. Setting myself a weekly goal does help. Being newly retired and just moved across country, I am trying to get a routine established.
I do well with lists. and usually do a monthly one via “a lovely year of finishes” to keep track. I think I just need to make it visible so I see it in my workroom.
I really don’t have much of a method for keeping projects straight… It’s all a jumbled mess in my head! But I love your projects π Those little hexies are fabulous!
Thank you. That’s a little of how I feel this week. A little jumbled. π
Oh, how fun are those projects!
Thank you
That state of too many projects and too little time seems to be all I know lately. Your hexies are so cute.
π
woot! Looks awesome. I love hexes. I talked myself into making a few because they fit easily in my purse. I’m 10 in and already over it. π I think it is best for me to watch everyone else be fantastic at them.
LOL!!!…I only do them when in the mood so its not too bad π

Great to see how much progress you are making! Especially on those hexi’s…. They look fabulous. How do I keep all my projects straight? I try to only work on one thing at a time ’cause I have a poor memory and crappy concentration skills. Lol! Otherwise, I need to make a list of what I am working on (and what I want to do for the blog) on paper. And then not loose the paper.
Sew glad to have had the opportunity to ‘meet’ you through Plum and June’s Summer Blog Hop!
Lorna:)

I am so impressed with the hexies in particular – I haven’t yet tried hexies. Another thing on the ‘to do’ list that is ever-growing!
Isn’t it funny how that list is never ending π Keeps life interesting, I suppose
