I have just finished my first week worth of quilt design a day. It has been a blast and can be difficult depending on what the palette is or what your inspiration is for that day. It does make you look at everything, and see if something will be right for the design that day.
My design was based on a Tapa Cloth I have hanging in my room.
Inspiration came from Building blocks and Jenga.
This design was inspired by a rug and is definitely in my make pile….you will be seeing more of this one.
“Broken Society”. This design started off as just hexagons, which reminded me of a hive and society…leading to me thing of today’s society…broken.
“Life” is inspired by the video play and the new google play icon. I loved these colors. This design is on my possibly make list.
“Lipstick Kisses” I have not as yet made a triangle quilt but I loved the neutrals that this palette had.
I loved how this color palette reminded me of earth and water colors. Anne had a great analogy of an abstract oasis so I am stealing the idea “Abstract Oasis”. This is also on my possibly make list. It is inspired by a painting at my office.
Anyway, more designs are to come, and can be seen also on Instagram.
Yum! My absolute favourite is the Lipstick Kisses. Dead keen to do a triangle quilt one day and those colours are just gorgeous together. I especially love the pop of red, it gives it real depth.
I love seeing all your designs in one place! You have a wonderful style; I’m really glad you joined us. 😀 I can’t pick a favorite, they’re all awesome. Good luck, your “to make” pile is going to grow pretty rapidly at this rate!!
Beautiful choices !
These look like such fun colors and designs!
Fantastic fun…you are so good at this! My fav is day three for sure, but all of the palettes are wonderful 🙂
As I looked at each one it became my favorite, then I looked back and still liked the first ones. What a fun challenge. What software are you using? And are other people doing this too?
Please make all of these 😀 especially Day 3!!
These are some gorgeous designs!
So fabulous…are there any so dark that are definitely going to be made?
