Wonky Herringbone Place Mats Complete

This past weekend was very productive for me. I managed to quilt and bind the wonky herringbone place mats. The quilting is mostly straight-line quilting at 1/2 inch. I decided to match the binding with the backing fabric. I started hand binding but did switch to machine binding and just top stitched the binding. Placemats_binding_underway   I love how they finished. These have been delivered to a friend for a belated birthday gift – she loved them too!! PlaceMats_WH_complete Fabric Choices: Essex Dyed Yarn Linen; Peppered Cottons; Panier De Fleurs Dove, French General. Floral Check Anais Grey by Moda. (also see this post for colors and links for the fabrics)

Final Size: 14 x 18″

Catching-up on Scrap-bee-licious blocks

I have been trying to catch-up on some of my Scrap-bee-licious blocks this week, as I owe blocks for April, May and June.

April’s block is this wonderful little star – those squares are 1.5″ and has 42 HSTs.

May’s Blocks are an appliqué block that comprises of vines and leaves (not started yet).

June’s blocks are a lot of flying geese which I am paper piecing. Each segment (two flying geese) is a 3.5″ piece. I am missing one row on this one which I am think of adding some of my own fabrics to.

IMG_2011I am hoping to have all these blocks complete by the weekend!! Linking up with Lee over at Freshly Pieced for WiP Wednesday (see button on the right).

Sunday Stash #24: Blueberry Park

I have recently discovered Karen over @ Blueberry Park. She does these fantastic screen-printed fabrics, typically on Kona cottons. This works out great as it is so easy to find matching fabrics and mix with solids. She is wonderful to work with and has been so helpful. You can order via her Etsy store or just IG her (blueberryathome). She also has a couple of fabric clubs for 1/2 panels, full panels and charm packs.

Here are my wonderful purchases so far…Neutral Bundle, Allotment in Shadow, Aqua/Teal/Blue bundle…
