I am traveling for work this week, in theory, as it has started out with a cancelled flight and rescheduling for tomorrow. I am still optimistic, I will make it one way or another. As I will be out on Wednesday I wanted to share the progress made on the baby quilt I posted last week.

I have now completed the first row!! I love how easy this quilt is with 5 inch squares – everything I have tried so far has been much smaller.

The second row has been put up on the design board to get a sense of look and feel. I can’t wait to have some more time to work on it. I think the combination with Simply Color and Simply Style Charm Packs look great together and I really like the single color blocks.

I am hoping to have this quilt top finished this weekend. In the meantime, I had 5 hours sitting in the airport today sewing hexagons and plan on more hexies over the week while out on the road (loving the hand piecing).
