Materials for Triple Zipper Pouch + Madrona Road Challenge

I have several projects on-going for this week’s work in progress – most of them relate to my February goals. I am linking up with Freshly Pieced.

WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

#3 – 4 sets of Potholders:
I am still working on finishing the set of two pot holders. The chicken ones are completed (and being sent to ClumsyKristel this week) and the blue teapot ones are closer to being finished.

#5 – Triple Zipper Pouch Tutorial (at A Quilters Table)
I wanted to complete a triple zipper pouch, well I have finally decided on my fabrics (Les Amis Fabrics by Patti Sloniger for Michael Miller) and zippers (Red-brown, Taupe, and Orange-Pink).IMG_0855

Finally a project not on my February goals – Our chapter of the Modern Quilt Guild started the Madrona Road Challenge this week, and I finally have the fabric. I am so excited to get started I have been seeing so many great projects. I know the design I want to try, and it should involve my #6 goal for trying paper piecing. I will be trying to also design my own template….ambitious you might say since I have never paper pieced – well we will see :-). If the blocks turn out I will be sharing the idea and the templates (paper pieced) /designs (for non-paper pieced blocks)IMG_0862

The fabrics for the triple zip are great – that’ll be really cute.

Paper piecing can be fun, but equally very frustrating. I don’t tend to do it very often, though some of my crafty friends do it pretty exclusively. Anyway, it gives great results, so I can see the appeal 😀
