I accomplished my main goal for February which was the Riley Blake Challenge quilt, so that is the first time (maybe the second) I actually made my “A lovely year of finishes” goal. Now, that is a big deal for me.
Here are how my other month goals feared. I think I had a really great month.

I am also joining in the 30/30 Challenge, and hope I can make X & + block per day to meet my March goal. This way I might be able to cut some of the TV, I have been watching and stop “laying like broccoli” (vegg’ing).
Woo-hoo, it is time to start sewing. Here is a reminder on the February goal for the Gypsy Wife QAL.
Color Wheel (1)
Pinwheel Blocks (6×4″)
There are already a couple of blocks posted on flickr. Come over take a look – it’s not too late to join in. Kristel @ Work in Progress Girl will hold a link-up party at the end of the month for the completed blocks where a giveaway will be available….details to follow.

Post 3 times a week min.
Post a new recipe each week
Anyway, this is how far I got in February….
As mentioned on Friday 1st, complete top and back of my “Four Seasons in one day” (named after a crowded house song) I have now completed the top and started the back. You can see my first quilt top finish here.
Finish 4 sets of chair bags. I have cut out 2 sets of chair bags but have not started sewing yet. I did not get any further.
Finish 4 sets of pot holders. I have 3 sets of pot holders completed.
Cut out fabric for my son’s quilt. Not started yet – I have landed up ordering two new fabrics.
Triple zip pouch. Fabric and other materials selected but did not get any further.
I have several projects on-going for this week’s work in progress – most of them relate to my February goals. I am linking up with Freshly Pieced.
#3 – 4 sets of Potholders:
I am still working on finishing the set of two pot holders. The chicken ones are completed (and being sent to ClumsyKristel this week) and the blue teapot ones are closer to being finished.
#5 – Triple Zipper Pouch Tutorial (at A Quilters Table)
I wanted to complete a triple zipper pouch, well I have finally decided on my fabrics (Les Amis Fabrics by Patti Sloniger for Michael Miller) and zippers (Red-brown, Taupe, and Orange-Pink).
Finally a project not on my February goals – Our chapter of the Modern Quilt Guild started the Madrona Road Challenge this week, and I finally have the fabric. I am so excited to get started I have been seeing so many great projects. I know the design I want to try, and it should involve my #6 goal for trying paper piecing. I will be trying to also design my own template….ambitious you might say since I have never paper pieced – well we will see :-). If the blocks turn out I will be sharing the idea and the templates (paper pieced) /designs (for non-paper pieced blocks)
