Weekend finishes: Pillows

I was so thrilled this week when I found that Janice @ Better of Thread highlighted my Market Tote on her website, after I shared it on her Sew Tuesday link up. I hope you go over and check out the link up, its lots of fun.

Over the weekend, I finished the two postage stamp pillows that were blogged here and here (check out these blogs for close up shots and fabric used). I love how they turned out. Here are the final looks:

Wonky Universe Pillow (my son’s):

Spring Pillow:

For the first time, I used invisible zippers for the back opening, across the middle, for both pillows. I love how these look instead of my usual envelope backing:

And now more photos of these pillows all finished:

The pillows are gorgeous and I especially love the quilting on the blue one…I don’t think of being creative like that, it’s great! Visiting from “Let’s Get Acquainted.”

I am super surprised at how much aqua/teal I now have in my stash. I think I will have to concentration these for a while to make room. I love the blues as well though 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Beautiful pillows – I love all of the blues in the Universe pillow, and the different quilting you have done in each one. Thanks for linking up this week.

Love both of these! Seriously!! I saw that fabric you made your son’s with last week, I might have to go buy it now that I’ve seen how great that pillow is!

What a great way to use up fabric scraps. Both pillows look fabulous, but I think my favourite is the blue one with the contrasting star.

I love your pillows. They are so bright and cheery. Especially love the star in the wonky universe. It’s a great little touch that just makes the pillow.
