Lovely Year of Finishes – September goal

Oh my gosh!!! I hate to do this, but have you started thinking about Christmas? The thought came to me this week when I got an order for two twin quilts. We started to discuss dates and then finally decided that the best timing for having the quilts done would be for Christmas gifts.

I don’t have too much to do directly for Christmas, 3 twin quilts and 3 stockings but I would like to partake in my company’s Christmas Craft fair. So right now I am thinking about stock I will need…

  • Christmas stockings (none in stock – would like 10-15)
    ChristmasStockingsx2
  • Cushion/Pillow covers (only two in stock so far – thinking I need 10)
    PostageStamp_Cushion_Road15Front
  • Chair bags/pockets (have 7 in stock but would like 14)
    Chairbags_FlowerGardenLimeade
  • Gift card holders (none in stock – would like 10)
  • Pencil cases, Pencil rolls (none in stock but would like 10)

This means a lot of work between now and Christmas. This leads to this month’s “Lovely Year of Finishes” goal – I would like one of the twin quilts finished.

I am deciding between one of the three following quilts to do this month (these are the 3 that need to be done by Christmas):

Off to the drawing/design board and to see what others are up to this month.

WiP Wednesday: Triple Zipper Pouch {20.03.2013}

WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced
My work in progress this week is the triple zipper pouch, I am thrilled to finally start it. This has been on my to do list for both February and March, I had chosen out my fabric. All the pieces are cut out and I have put the web interface on the relevant pieces.

Hoping to finish for Friday. In the meantime, I am thinking of signing up for another Craft show at a local outdoor market – Western Wake Farmers Market. They are holding a Spring Craft Fair in May, so it should have warmed up by then, and the entry fee is not that bad. That gives me 8 weeks (well, 7 as I have one business trip in the middle there), which I think I can pull stock together by then. If I sign-up then I would have meet one of my yearly goals…..I suppose that means there is not much more to think about 😉

Late night! Craft Fair here!

So, after a 3 am finish last night, I was ready for my first craft fair. It was exciting and we accomplished a lot over the 25 days…the table was full. It was a little slow traffic wise at the fair but all in all a good experience. I will definitely plan next time 🙂

Here are some photos of my table:
