Another Progress report on Four Seasons in One Day quilt

This weekend was very productive – The back is now finished for the four seasons quilt and I have pinned all the layers together ready for quilting. The photo’s are not great due to all the shadows from the trees (obviously need a different time of day), but you will get the idea.

The back is Kona yellow solid (on the top)–> 1/2 chevron stripe of left over Notting Hill (Joel Dewberry) pieces –> and from Joann’s a aqua chevron fabric (on the bottom)

Four Seasons in One Day – Quilt top

So, I have finally finished my quilt top for my “four seasons in one day”. This is my first quilt top ever – it fits a twin.  I was by myself the day I finished and had about 30 minutes of light left….so these are the best photos I have for now – I used my son’s playground as my photo assistant 🙂

Some details:

  • The tree design is my own.
  • All buttons and sequins are hand sewn on.
  • Joel Dewberry Notting Hill Jelly roll was used for the 1/2 Chevron border and the center borders. (thanks to all those who provided the encouragement to finish the Chevron border – it turned out great).
  • The corners of the border is just Kona Cotton yellow and red (the corners are not perfect but I still love how it turned out).
