Sunday Stash: New fabric lines

Once again, there are so many new fabric lines that I am liking!! Here are a couple I recently purchased selected prints of.

Hello, Bear: Love the muted palette, especially the splashes of teal and coral amongst the neutrals.

Yoyogi Park: A friend Just let us know she was pregant, and then I received Hawthorne Threads newsletter with this wonderful line from Skinny La Minx. Perfect for a baby quilt – right!!

Elizabeth: Of course Tula Pink’s new line, my favorite prints are the stripes.  I did not pink up the flower pints. Don’t shot me, but this is one of first Tula Pink’s lines I have liked a majority of the prints, in a while. I think there are some great basics in this line that can be mixed in with other prints.

Sunday Stash #10 – 2014: Activities & Winner

Ever had those days where you just can’t do anything. That has been my last 3 days, I totally blame it on the detox diet I am doing for the next 10 days. For an attempt to get out of that funk…why not post about fabric and upcoming activities + the winner of my giveaway.

Did you all see Craftsy Mystery Quilt Workshop?? It is with Tula Pink using Fox Fields. I definitely signed up as I am hoping the quilt is something like her butterfly quilt. The fabric arrived for the workshop this week:

I love those rabbit fabrics!! The colors are going to  make a fantastic quilt….I don’t think I would have bought yardage of this line, so I am happy for a project for them.

The other project/competition I am so excited for is Umbrella Prints annual competition. The trimmings packet arrived yesterday.

Tula City Sampler (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) + Last week of New Bloggers Blog hop

I definitely love being on vacation, and to share there is one more vacation post coming tomorrow. As far as my sewing efforts, I did not get 4 hours a day but did at least two which is great if you ask me. I also did not get everything done that I wanted (I was a little too optimistic), but I did make a good dent in my list. I managed to complete or start:

  • Two triple zipper pouches made for teacher gifts
  • One triple zipper pouch for Triple Zipper Pouch Swap (post to come)
  • Basted 60 solid grey 1 inch hexagons, now starting to hand-sew them on to my hexagon quilt and I am almost finished that row. Need to finish this by August 9th to enter A Season by Hand @ Clover and Violet
  • Kiwi Cushion/Pillow front complete (post to come)
  • Finally, I finished Blocks 1, 2, 3 of Tula City Sampler and in 1/2 day managed 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 (3 weeks down, only 6 more to catch-up on). Here are what the last 6 blocks look like….remember I a using Spring House by Moda for the fabric.
